Repeat Prescriptions
Requests must be made in writing before 11:00 - we do not accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions.
If you have a regular repeat prescription you will receive a computer printout each time you collect your prescription, which lists all your medication. It is then only necessary to tick the items you require and hand it into the surgery or pharmacy.
Alternatively you can now order online via Patient Access. New users are required to complete a simple one-off registration. Pop into the Health Centre for your log-in id.
We operate a facility whereby prescriptions are delivered to the local pharmacist, from where patients may collect the items, or alternatively the patient can collect the signed prescription from the surgery. If you require your prescription to be kept at the surgery please indicate this clearly on your repeat slip. Please allow 3 working days
For safety reasons we no longer accept repeat prescription requests via email.
Electronic Prescription Services (EPS)
EPS allows us to send your prescription electronically to your nominated pharmacy, this could be either near your home or workplace - please advise our reception team if you would like to nominate one specific pharmacy. For further details please follow this link EPS patient information
New Patients
When seeing the doctor for the first time, new patients are requested to bring a copy of their repeat medications to the consultation and to inform the doctor of any over the counter medication they may be taking. This helps to save any confusion when discussing medication and deciding future management.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
