COVID 19 update

To allow us to triage patients with potential Covid-19, we have temporarily disabled online booking.

All of our appointments are now telephone consultations –  based on the telephone consultation our clinicians will book face to face appointments as required.

Please only come to the surgery if you have a booked appointment.

When you arrive for your booked appointments, our reception team will ask if you have any Covid-19 symptoms or have been asked to self-isolate, they will also ask you to wash your hands.

For the safety of our patients and staff please do not arrive early for your appointment and we would kindly ask that you wear a face mask.

This article talks about “Long Covid” and is an excellent read: https://www.bmj.com/content/370/bmj.m3026

Face mask exemption letters for patients

Government guidance suggests there is no requirement for evidence for exemption. It should be sufficient for someone to declare that they are eligible for an exemption direct with the person questioning them (eg bus driver).

We are therefore not required to provide letters of support for those who fall under the list of exemptions, or to those who do not fall under the list of exemptions.

Some transport providers are providing evidence of exemptions themselves, see, for example, this information from First Bus and Arriva

Covid-19 Vaccine:

The NHS is now ready to deliver a vaccination programme for England so that those who need it most will be able to access vaccinations as soon as they are available.

Vaccination Programme

A prioritisation list has been produced in order for the vaccine to be delivered to groups who will need it first. The NHS will contact you when you are eligible to receive the vaccine and provide you with information about location and date. We will contact you when it’s the right time to come forward, so please don’t contact the NHS to seek a vaccine before then.

We thank you all for taking care and observing the current government guidance

to reduce the risk of catching or spreading Covid-19 in our local community
