Tirzepatide Prescribing (Mounjaro)

As you may have seen in the national press yesterday, there are new rules, for obesity and four diagnosed health conditions, regarding prescribing Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) within GP Surgeries.

Full qualifying criteria is a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 40 or greater and four or more of the following diagnosed health conditions:

•               type 2 diabetes

•               Hypertension

•               Cardiovascular disease

•               Obstructive sleep apnoea

•               Dyslipidaemia

We will be contacting people who have been identified as eligible over the coming weeks, once we have further guidance from NHS Sussex.
